Charles Boucher’s obituary-A visionary HIV scientist and educationalist
Prof. Charles Achim Bernard Boucher, a pioneering HIV researcher, died early in the morning on February 26th at his home in Utrecht, aged 63. Nearly one year ago, his cancer diagnosis came up while he was among the first volunteers to donate convalescent plasma for clinical studies on COVID-19. With his passing, we have lost a brilliant scientist, a great mentor and a dear friend.
